Bo Phut Beach is 50 m away, and Wat Bo Phut, the village temple, is 400 m off. The Bophut Food Market, a local market with stalls, is 600 m away, and the Big Buddha, on a hill above Bo Phut, is 3.5 km away.

For a day out, the Big Buddha is an easy choice, and Na Muang Waterfall, further inland in the island's interior, is another day trip. Chaweng Noi Beach and Lamai Beach are further along the island's roads. Samui Airport is on the island itself, and a flight into it needs no ferry crossing. From the village, the island's larger beaches and temples are reached by road, and the evenings in Bo Phut are spent along the walking street and on the sand of the bay.
