Location & what to see
Patong is the best-known beach town on Phuket's west coast, with a wide sandy beach fringed by hotels, restaurants and bars. Le Moon is on Phangmaung Saikor Road near the Bangla Boxing Stadium, about 750 m from the sand of Patong Beach, in the busy part of town. Many of the town's restaurants and bars are on the streets leading down to the sand.
Within a short distance are Bangla Road, 500 m away, with its bars, clubs and street stalls, and the Jungceylon Shopping Center, 200 m away, a large mall with shops and restaurants. A night market, the Banzaan Fresh Market, is close by, with food stalls in the evening. Further afield, Big Buddha Phuket is 7.2 km away on a hill, with views over the island, and Wat Chalong, one of the island's best-known temples, is in the Chalong area.
A good day could start at Big Buddha and the temple in Chalong, then return to Patong for the beach and the evening markets. Phuket FantaSea, a cultural show park in Kathu, can fill an evening.
