Krabi International Airport is about 62.4 km away on the mainland, so the last part of the journey is by ferry.

A good day could begin with a swim at Klong Nin beach, continue with the climb up to Viewpoint Hill, and end in the old town. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, about 9.7 km away, is the choice for a longer day of walking and coastal scenery, and it is one of the best-known natural areas on the island.
