Lanta Sport Resort

The rooms at Lanta Sport Resort run from a 26 m² superior room with a garden view to a 100 m² family suite with room for four guests. A two-bedroom apartment with a balcony and sea view sleeps up to five, and several rooms look out to the sea.

Other rooms include a pool suite with a pool view, a 35 m² superior apartment and a 50 m² one-bedroom suite with pool access, which comes with a choice of bed set-ups. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the rooms are set up for stays of different sizes, from a single traveller to a group of five.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, along with a fitness centre and a children's swimming pool. Free parking is available on site, and free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, with Wi-Fi also in the public areas. The public areas are air-conditioned as well, and lockers are available for guests, so luggage and valuables can be stored during the day.

The resort is in the Pra Ae area of Koh Lanta, on the island's long sandy shoreline known as Long Beach, about 460 m from the sand. The pace here is slower than on the island's busier parts, and the sea is the main draw.

Around the resort, the Lanta Muay Thai Academy is close by, and the Khlong Dao Muay Thai Stadium is another reminder of how central Muay Thai is to the island. Further afield, Lanta Old Town, 9.5 km away, is the island's historic old town, and Khao Mai Kaew Cave, 7.8 km away, is a limestone cave worth a visit. The nearest airport, Krabi International Airport, is 56.3 km away on the mainland.

A day out can start on the beach and continue to Khao Mai Kaew Cave in the afternoon, or to Lanta Old Town for a walk through the historic streets. Mu Ko Lanta National Park covers the islands and coastline around Koh Lanta, and the resort itself offers canoeing, snorkelling and diving for time on the water. The Lanta Sport Complex and Relax Bay Beach are also close to the resort, so a morning on the sand and an afternoon of sport are both easy to fit into one day.
