Kantiang Bay, 550 m away, is another bay to explore. The Monday Market, held once a week, is a local stop, and Lanta Old Town, 14.1 km away, is the island's old settlement, a quieter place to wander. The Khao Mai Kaew Cave, 12.8 km away, is worth a visit for a day out from the beach, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 20.5 km away, covers Koh Lanta and the islands around it.

A good day could begin with a swim at Klong Dao Beach, then continue to Kantiang Bay and on to the Khao Mai Kaew Cave. Car hire is offered at the property for the longer trips across the island.
