Patong has grown into the island's main hub for shopping, dining and nightlife, and the neighbourhood works well both for beach days and for trips around the island. The streets near the hotel have shops, cafés and food stalls, from simple street-food carts to sit-down restaurants.

Patong Beach is 1 km away, and Bangla Road, the street of bars and clubs, is 800 m away. Jungceylon Shopping Center is a short walk from the hotel, and Karon Beach, a calmer stretch of sand, is 3.8 km away. The beach road runs through the middle of the resort, so most of what you need for a day out is within a few streets of the hotel.

A useful day starts on Patong Beach in the morning, then continues to Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's most revered Buddhist temples, and to Big Buddha on its hilltop, which is a longer drive away. Kata Beach, about 7.3 km away, offers a calmer day on the sand if you want a change. Phuket International Airport is 24.6 km away, and the trip from there is by road.
