Songkhla Old Town, about 7 km away, is the historic core of the city, with older shophouses lining its streets and a mix of Thai, Chinese and Malay influences in its culture. Songkhla Fish Market, 6.4 km away, is a busy place to buy fresh fish and seafood, and it is one of the most lively spots in the area during the day.

A day could start at the fish market, then continue to Samila Beach and the mermaid statue there, before a walk through the old town streets on foot. The old town is best explored on foot, with its older buildings and narrow streets close together. Hat Yai International Airport is 29.5 km away, and the property has free parking for guests who arrive by car.
