Kohtao Hillside resort

Air conditioning is standard in every room at Kohtao Hillside resort, and several rooms have sea views. The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View, the Bungalow with Sea View, the Double Room with Sea View and the Villa with Sea View all look out over the water, and each one sleeps up to two guests.

The deluxe room measures 28 m² and has a balcony and a king bed. The bungalow measures 12 m² and also has a balcony, with a king bed. The villa measures 42 m², has a dining table and a choice of bed set-ups. Private bathrooms with showers are part of the deluxe room, the bungalow and the villa, and these rooms also have a coffee and tea maker.

Kohtao Hillside resort has an outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace, and a restaurant that serves Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner. Food delivery is also offered, and a shuttle service is available for guests. The resort offers diving and snorkelling, and there is a dive centre within 1.2 km of the resort, with Sairee Beach 500 m away for snorkelling.

Kohtao Hillside resort is set in the Taa Then Bay area of Ko Tao, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is reached by boat. The island is reached by boat, and the resort is a short walk from the bay. The island is well known for diving, and the resort's hillside setting gives many of its rooms a view over the water.

Sairee Beach, 500 m away, is the island's main beach strip, with dive shops, cafés and restaurants along its length. Koh Nang Yuan Viewpoint, 1.2 km away, looks out towards the small islands off the coast, and the walk up to it is a good way to see the bay from above. Ao Tanote Beach, 3.8 km away, is another bay further along the island. The nearest major airport, Samui Airport, is 67.6 km away on Ko Samui, so the last part of the journey is by boat.

A typical day can start with snorkelling from the beach at Sairee, followed by a trip to the Koh Nang Yuan viewpoint for the view across the water. Back at the resort, the restaurant serves Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner, and the pool has views over the bay. After a day on the water, the pool and the restaurant are both on site.
