Koh Tao Montra Resort & Spa

The rooms at Koh Tao Montra Resort & Spa include pool-view and sea-view rooms, a beach-view villa and larger suites, and most have a private bathroom with toiletries and towels. The pool-view rooms overlook the swimming pools, while the sea-view rooms open towards the water. Bed set-ups run from a single bed to a king bed, and several rooms have a sofa bed.

Some rooms have air conditioning, an in-room safe, a coffee and tea maker, a refrigerator and a balcony or terrace, and the Junior Suite sleeps up to five guests. Bathrobes are offered in several rooms, and flat-screen TVs with satellite or cable channels are found in some of them.

Koh Tao is a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, known for diving and snorkelling. The resort is in the Mae Haad area, where the Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier, 250 m away, serves as the ferry terminal for boats from the mainland and nearby islands. The nearest airport is Samui Airport, 65.2 km away on Koh Samui, and the rest of the journey is by boat.

Sairee Beach, 500 m away, is the island's best-known stretch of sand, and the resort's own private beach is there for a swim whenever you like. Koh Nang Yuan, 3.7 km away, is a small islet reached by boat and popular for snorkelling and day trips. The Sairee Viewpoint looks over the Sairee beach area, and the walk along the sand from the resort is a good way to see the bay.

The island is small enough to explore by scooter, but the sea is the main draw, with diving courses, snorkelling trips and boat excursions to the islets. Dive centres, snorkel tours and the boat trips to Koh Nang Yuan make up most of a day here, while the beach and the pools make a slower afternoon. In the rainy months, rough seas can change plans on the water.
