Songkhla is on the mainland, so the trip from Hat Yai International Airport is made by road, and no ferry is needed for the last part of the journey. The Samila Beach side of the town is a different setting, with the sea opening out in front of you.

The Nakhon Nai Museum is 50 m away and Wat Yang Thong, a Buddhist temple, is 100 m away. The Songkhla Old Town is 300 m from the hotel, so the streets, shophouses and temples can be explored on foot without a long walk to the next sight.

A day could start at the museums and temples of the old town and move to the coast or the hill in the afternoon. Samila Beach is 1.6 km away, a sandy shore known for its mermaid statue, and the Tang Kuan Hill Lift upper station is 1.4 km away, at the top of a hill with views over the town.
