The neighbourhood is mostly low-rise houses, small shops and temples set along narrow lanes.

Wat Rat Burana, a pagoda temple 200 m away, is the closest sight, and Wat Prasoet Sutthawat is also nearby. Rat Burana Pier is 650 m from the homestay and serves river boats on the Chao Phraya, a useful link for reaching the river. Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside complex of shops and restaurants, is 2.5 km away, and the Saphan Taksin BTS station, 4.3 km away, connects to the Skytrain network for trips further into the city.

A good day could begin with the temples close to the homestay, then take the river boat or the BTS to Asiatique for dinner by the water, where the riverside shops and restaurants are open in the evening. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 26.5 km away, so allow time for the journey if you arrive on a late flight.
