The Chok Chai 4 MRT Station is 3.4 km away and Phawana MRT Station is close by, so the metro is a practical way to reach other parts of the city. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known markets, is 6.8 km away, with stalls spread over a large site. Further away, Jim Thompson House, a historic Thai house and museum in central Bangkok, and Wat Arun, the riverside temple, are among the city's best-known sights. A full day could start at the Chatuchak Weekend Market and continue with the Grand Palace, 14.9 km away, where the Temple of the Emerald Buddha stands within the royal complex.
