Khaosan Houses

Every room at Khaosan Houses measures 55 m² and has air conditioning, a TV, a hair dryer and toiletries. Capacity runs from two to eight guests across the rooms, and the beds are king and queen sizes, so the choice covers couples as well as groups travelling together.

Some rooms have a private entrance, a desk or a full kitchen with a coffee and tea maker, and several of them include complimentary tea and free instant coffee. Visitors who want to walk to the old town's main sights will find many of them close enough to reach on foot, while the big shopping areas are further away.

Khaosan Road is 650 m away, a backpacker street of bars, street food and guesthouses. Wat Bowon Niwet Ratchaworawihan, a royal temple, is 300 m away, and the Grand Palace is 1.7 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) inside its grounds. Across the river, Wat Arun rises over the water, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip across the city.

Walking covers the old town sights, while taxis or tuk-tuks handle longer trips. Sam Yot MRT station is 1.5 km away for trips across the city, and Don Mueang Airport is 20.2 km away. A good day could start with an early walk to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then a ferry or taxi to Wat Arun, and an evening stroll along Khaosan Road.
