Khao Sok (Suratthani) is a valley area in Surat Thani province, in the mountains of southern mainland Thailand, where limestone hills rise above rainforest and rivers run through the forest. Khao-Sok Bed and Breakfast sits in this green landscape, and the area is quiet. It is a better base for walking in the forest and seeing waterfalls and pools than for a beach holiday.

Khao Sok National Park is 450 m from the property, and it is the main reason people come to this part of Thailand. Within about two kilometres are the Khao Sok Valley Viewpoint and the Wing Hin waterfall, both 1.9 km away. The nearest airport is Surat Thani Airport, 72.2 km away, and the valley is reached by road, so no boat is needed.

A typical day could begin with a walk into the national park, continue at a viewpoint over the valley, and end at one of the waterfalls.
