Kata Silver Sand

The rooms at Kata Silver Sand come in double, twin and single set-ups, and some of them have a balcony or terrace. Rooms can have air conditioning, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

Some rooms sleep up to three guests, the Standard Twin Room sleeps up to four, and the Standard Single sleeps up to two. Rooms can also have a hair dryer, towels and a hand-held shower wand, and the Wi-Fi is free in all rooms.

The Big Buddha, a large seated statue on Nakkerd Hills, is 1.7 km away, and the temple known as Wat Chalong is 5 km away, one of the most revered Buddhist temples on the island. Visiting the Big Buddha and Wat Chalong together is a common way to spend a morning in this part of the island. Patong Beach, the island's best-known resort beach with its nightlife, lies 7.4 km away, and the Karon Night Market, an evening market with street food and local goods, is 2.7 km away.

A full day could start with the Big Buddha, continue with a swim at Kata Beach in the afternoon, and end with dinner in Kata or a visit to the Karon Night Market. Walking the length of Kata Beach is a good way to see the bay at a slower pace, and the Karon Night Market is busy in the evening with food stalls.
