Around the area you will find Kamala Night Market, which is close by, and Phuket FantaSea, a large cultural theme park with an evening show. Big Buddha Phuket, a white statue on a hilltop 13.8 km away, has views across the island, and the hilltop setting makes it a stop for the view as much as for the statue. Phuket International Airport is 18.3 km away, and a taxi or hire car covers the journey.

Kamala Night Market, close to the village, is a lively place to browse after dark. A day here could start with a swim at Kamala beach, continue with the views from Big Buddha, then visit Wat Chalong, the island's best-known temple. In the evening, Bangla Road in Patong offers the livelier nightlife of the two resort areas. The Kamala–Patong road runs past the hotel, so Patong is reached along the same route.
