Pratunam Market is a short walk from the building, and the Siam Paragon shopping mall, which has the Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World aquarium inside it, is 800 m away. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum that was the home of the American silk entrepreneur who popularised Thai silk worldwide, is 1.2 km away. Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratchaworawihan, a royal temple with a notable pagoda, is 750 m away.

Phaya Thai station and the Ratchaprarop station on the Airport Rail Link are both nearby, and the line runs from there to Suvarnabhumi Airport, 23.9 km away. For a full day out, Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest markets, is 5.3 km away and is best visited as a separate outing. A good first day could start at Pratunam Market, continue to Jim Thompson House and end with a walk to Siam Paragon.
