J & L Residence and Spa

The rooms at J & L Residence and Spa measure between 20 and 28 m², and several of them sleep up to three guests. Some rooms open onto a balcony or terrace, and at least one has a city view. J & L Residence and Spa is in the Bang Khae district of South Thonburi, on the western bank of the Chao Phraya river. Thonburi was the royal capital for a short period before the capital moved across the water, so the riverside on this side has its own history. The streets around the property mix housing with everyday services, markets and small temples, a different setting from the busier tourist districts on the eastern bank.

Wat Rat Bamrung, a pagoda 550 m away, is the nearest temple, and Lak Song MRT station, 3.2 km away, connects the area to the metro network. For trips into the centre, the property offers its own taxi service. Don Mueang International Airport is the nearer of Bangkok's two airports and lies 33.5 km away.

A day could begin at Wat Arun on the Thonburi bank and continue to the Grand Palace across the river, about 13 km from the property, before returning for a massage or a sauna at the spa. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 21 km away, is a separate outing for the weekend. A visit to the market works well as a full day out, with the spa and sauna back at the property afterwards, and the metro serves the area for the return trip.
