Issara House Bangkok

Issara House Bangkok has rooms in several sizes, with single, double, king and queen beds. Rooms can have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms look onto the garden and others have a city view.

The Family Room measures 35 m² and sleeps up to five guests, with a city view. The King Room and the Twin Room each measure 24 m², and the Cozy Room measures 14 m². The Cozy King, for up to two guests, has a city view, air conditioning and complimentary tea, and its bathroom has a shower and toiletries.

Free parking is available on site, and valet parking and parking nearby are also offered. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and there is also Wi-Fi in the public areas and internet access.

Guests can use luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, a doorman and private check-in and check-out, and a taxi service is also offered. Daily housekeeping, dry cleaning and laundry service are available, and there is a convenience store as well.

The hotel has a garden and a shared lounge/TV area. Staff speak English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Thai, and a doctor or nurse is on call. A bottle of water is also offered, and guests can gather in the lounge to watch television.

Issara House sits in Thonburi, the district on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the Bangkok Yai area. The streets around the hotel are more local than the old city across the water, with canals and mosques close by, including Tonson Mosque 400 m away. The metro is a short walk, with Itsaraphap MRT station 100 m from the hotel, and it links the area to the rest of the city.

Wat Arun, the temple with a tall, tiered prang on the riverbank, is 600 m away on the same side of the river. Wat Phra Chetuphon, the temple of the reclining Buddha, is also across the river in the old city. The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are on the other bank, 1.3 km from the hotel, and several ferry piers lie close by. Khaosan Road, with its guesthouses and street-food stalls, is 2.5 km away.

A good day can start in the old city with the Grand Palace, cross back by ferry, and finish at Wat Arun in the evening, which is close to the hotel. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, is a longer trip away and is worth a separate morning.
