Sairee Beach is the main beach area of Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of Surat Thani province. The beach strip is busy by day, with dive schools, cafés and small hotels along the road, and it draws travellers who come to dive, snorkel and spend time on the sand. Indie Hostel - Koh Tao sits about 100 m from the beach, so the sea is a short walk away.
