Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre in the Siam district, is 2.5 km away, and Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is 3.2 km away. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, lies 6.2 km away.

A day out can combine the Grand Palace, the royal palace complex in Bangkok's historic old city, with Wat Arun, which stands across the river from it.
