The Taling Chan Floating Market, on the Thonburi canals, is 8.5 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Chao Phraya riverbank, is 9.1 km away. Win Win Plaza market is nearby, and The Grand Palace, the royal palace complex in the old city, is on the opposite bank of the river.

A good day out starts at the Taling Chan Floating Market, continues to Wat Arun on the Thonburi side of the river and ends with the Grand Palace across the water. Boats along the Chao Phraya are a practical way to link the sights on either bank, and Don Mueang International Airport is 30.4 km away for those flying in or out. The market, the temple and the palace can all be visited in one day.
