It is a busy part of the city, where tailors, bars and food stalls line the streets around the hotel, and the traffic on Sukhumvit Road and the Skytrain give the area a lively, urban character.

Nana BTS station is 300 m away, and the Skytrain runs from there to the Siam district, where Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 2.1 km from the hotel. Phloen Chit station is a little further along the same line. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in Bangkok, is 6.7 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 22 km from the hotel, with Don Mueang International Airport also serving the city.

A full day could combine the Grand Palace, which contains the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, with Wat Arun on the bank of the Chao Phraya river, and end with an evening at Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside night market and entertainment complex. For shopping, Siam Paragon and the MBK Center are both within a few kilometres of the hotel, and Jim Thompson House, a museum set in a compound of traditional Thai houses, is also close.
