Phuket is linked to the mainland by a bridge, so a taxi or a rented car is an easy way to reach the beaches and temples, and Phuket International Airport is 32.1 km away. A good day could start with a swim at Kata Beach, continue with a visit to the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end at the night market.
