HUG PHIPHI Resort

The rooms at HUG PHIPHI Resort have air conditioning and a private bathroom with a shower, and the bathrooms come with toiletries and towels. Most rooms also have a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and a hair dryer, and in some select rooms there is a refrigerator, bottled water, instant coffee and instant tea.

The rooms include a 20 m² Standard cottage with a king bed, a 25 m² room with a king bed for two guests, blackout curtains and heating, a double room with a sea view and a balcony for up to two guests, and a 30 m² Deluxe King Room that sleeps up to four guests with two single beds and a king bed. Families and small groups can book the Deluxe King Room.

The inn offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, along with Wi-Fi in its public areas and internet services for guests. Air conditioning is available in the public areas as well as in the rooms, and the inn has a terrace.

Family rooms are available for guests travelling with children, and English and Thai are spoken on site. The terrace gives guests a place to sit outside, and the rooms come with a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle and a hair dryer.

Ton Sai is the main village on Ko Phi Phi Don, the largest island of the Phi Phi group, and it sits on a narrow strip of land between two bays. The lanes of the village are lined with guesthouses and small shops, and the boats that carry visitors to the other islands leave from the pier close to the bay. It is a busy place by day, with the village life and the bay at its centre.

Ton Sai Beach is 750 m away, a short walk along the village, and the Koh Phi Phi Viewpoint, 1.1 km away, climbs above the two bays for a wide view. Monkey Beach, where macaques roam the sand, is also on the island and is reached on foot or by a short boat trip. On the mainland, Krabi International Airport lies 46.2 km away, and the island has no airport, so the last stage of the trip is by boat.

Boat trips are the best way to see the wider Phi Phi group. Ao Maya, the bay on Phi Phi Leh that was used as a setting for the film The Beach, is 6.3 km away and is reached by longtail boat, and Koh Phai (Bamboo Island) lies further out. In the rainy season, boat trips can be cancelled when the sea is rough, so the plans for the day may need to change.
