House Ju Hostel sits on Prachathipatai Road in the Khaosan area of Banglamphu, a lively district on the edge of Bangkok's old city. Khaosan Road, the backpacker street with its guesthouses, bars and street-food stalls, is 650 m from the hostel. The neighbourhood is busy in the evenings and has plenty of small eateries. The streets around it also hold travel agencies and guesthouses, and the area is well known for its mix of backpackers and visitors from many countries.
Some of the most visited sights of the old city are within a short distance. The Grand Palace is 1.8 km away, and Wat Arun, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya River, is 2.5 km away.
