A good day could start at the Kamthieng House Museum and continue to Benjakitti Park, 700 m from the hotel, which has a lake and walking paths. For a fuller day out, the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are close to the Chao Phraya River, and Jim Thompson House, a complex of traditional teak houses, is worth a visit too. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is further out and is best visited on a weekend morning, and Benchasiri Park, a leafy green space nearby, adds a quieter option for a walk.
