Wat Chalong, the district's main Buddhist temple, is 3.3 km from the hotel. Chalong Pier, 3 km away, is the ferry terminal for boats to the islands off the coast. Big Buddha Phuket, a white statue on a hilltop, lies 6 km away, and Kata Beach, 7.8 km away, is a sandy beach with cafés and restaurants along the sand. Both the temple and the pier are within the district, and the hotel offers taxi service and car hire.

A good day out could start at Wat Chalong in the morning, continue to Phuket Botanic Garden, 2.3 km from the hotel, with its trails and tropical plants, and end with lunch and a swim at Kata. Since the temple, the pier and the botanic garden are all within a short distance of each other, the south of the island makes a convenient area to explore from the hotel, whether by taxi or by car.
