A good day could start with the view from Khao Rang hill, continue through the old town's streets and museums, and end at the Plein Poa market in the evening. For a beach day, Patong, Karon and Kata are the main options on the west coast, and Patong is the closest of the three. For a quieter afternoon, the museums of the old town are a good choice, and the viewpoint on Khao Rang hill gives a clear look at the town from above.
