Heyha Hotel is on Sukhumvit, one of Bangkok's long east-west roads, in an area of residential streets, local markets and neighbourhood temples, with the Skytrain running overhead. Much of the road is lined with hotels, shops and restaurants, so everyday needs are easy to meet, and the Skytrain links the district to the rest of the city and to the main sights.

Punnawithi BTS station is 150 m from the hotel and Bang Chak station is 850 m away, so the Skytrain is the simplest way to reach central Bangkok. The walk to Punnawithi station is short. The garden at cloud 11 Park is about 750 m away, and Wat Dhammongkol, a temple with a pagoda, is at roughly the same distance. Khun-Yim Market is 1.2 km away.

A good day could start with a walk through the park, then take the Skytrain into the city and a taxi on to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. The two sites sit side by side in the old city, so one visit can cover both. Wat Arun, on the far bank of the Chao Phraya river, is reached by a short ferry crossing, and Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of the largest markets in Bangkok for a weekend outing.
