Chong Nonsi BTS Station is 300 m away and Saint Louis BTS Station 500 m, both on the Skytrain's Silom Line, which runs north towards the Siam and Sukhumvit areas. Nearby, the Patpong Museum sits in the same district, and the Jim Thompson House, the teak home of the Thai silk entrepreneur, is easy to reach by taxi.

A full day could start with The Grand Palace, 4.8 km away, and Wat Arun on the far bank of the Chao Phraya river, reached by boat from the riverside piers. Then continue to Jim Thompson House, and finish with a meal in the Silom streets around the hotel. The old city's temples and palaces are worth a whole day on their own, and the Silom area gives you a quieter base to return to in the evening, with its restaurants close by.
