Haonorn Hostel

The nearest beach is Ao Bang Charu, 250 m from the hostel, and the temples are close too: Wat Rat Charoen, a pagoda, and the Chinese Temple are both within walking distance. The HTMS Phangan 713 Warship Museum, a warship museum, is a little further on, and the Phangan Elephant Sanctuary is another stop for visitors who want to see the island beyond the town.

Ko Pha-ngan has no airport. The nearest is Samui Airport on Ko Samui, 19.3 km away across the water, and boats run from there to the island; Surat Thani Airport on the mainland is 113.2 km away. From Ko Pha-ngan Pier, about 1.1 km from the hostel, ferries and boats connect to the mainland and nearby islands. A good day out is a visit to the Phangan Elephant Sanctuary, followed by an afternoon at the warship museum and the fresh market in Thong Sala. Boats are the way on and off the island, so the last leg of any trip to the hostel is by sea.
