HABI-Surawong

The rooms at HABI-Surawong sleep up to four guests, and some of them give a choice of bed set-ups. The rooms can have air conditioning, a sofa, a hair dryer and a private bathroom with a shower, and several of them add a whirlpool bathtub.

Surawong Road, where HABI-Surawong stands, is a busy street with shops and restaurants, and the district is known for its commerce and nightlife. By day the streets are lined with office towers, and in the evening food stalls and bars take over the side lanes.

The Patpong night market area is close by, with its own night market and bars, and Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai teak houses gathered by the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is 2.3 km away. Chong Nonsi Canal Park is a small park 100 m away, and The Grand Palace, the royal complex in the old city, is 4.6 km away.

Chong Nonsi BTS station is 550 m away and Sam Yan MRT station is 500 m away, so the Skytrain and the underground are both close to the apartment. A good day from here starts with a walk through the Silom side streets to the Patpong area, then continues across the Chao Phraya to Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall prang, which is best seen from the water at the end of a long afternoon.
