Haadtien Beach Resort

The accommodation is made up of villas with beach, garden, ocean and partial sea views, and some of them are pool villas. Sizes run from 40 m² to 149 m², and the villas sleep between two and five guests. A two-bedroom pool villa sits alongside villas for two or three guests.

Rooms can have air conditioning, a mini bar and a balcony or terrace, and bathrooms have a shower. The villas also have bathrobes, a hair dryer and an electric kettle, and some have open-air bath privileges or a separate shower and bathtub. Toiletries and towels are also provided in many of them.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa with sauna and massage, and a private beach for swimming and snorkelling. Activities include canoeing, diving, fishing and non-motorised water sports, and tours can be arranged through the resort. A yoga room is also on site.

Dining options include a restaurant, a bar with a happy hour, a poolside bar, a snack bar, room service and barbecue facilities, with food delivery also available, and breakfast is served as a buffet.

Practical services include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, laundry and ironing, daily housekeeping, a shuttle service to and from the pier, and a gift shop on site.

Haad Tien, also known as Shark Bay, is on Ko Tao, an island in the Gulf of Thailand that is well known for diving. The area is a base for beach days, snorkelling and boat trips around the island. The resort has its own private beach, where snorkelling is possible.

Ao Thian and Snorkel beach are the closest beaches, and Cindy's Tower and the John-Suwan Mountain Viewpoint are the nearest lookouts, with the John-Suwan view taking in Chalok and Thian bays. Sairee Beach, 2.7 km away, is a busy beach with dive shops along the sand, and Nangyuan Island, 6.5 km away, is a small group of islets reached by boat. Ao Leuk and Sai Nuan Beach are further options for a day on the sand, and Freedom Beach is another beach to explore.

Samui Airport, 62.9 km away across the water, is the closest airport, so the last stage of the journey is by boat, and Chumphon Airport, 88.8 km away, is a further alternative. A good day starts with a swim at Ao Thian, followed by a walk to the John-Suwan viewpoint, and then a boat trip to Nangyuan Island for the afternoon, and the Lomprayah ferry pier is 2.2 km away.
