The rooms at Green Riverside Homestay measure between 36 and 90 m², and several of them overlook the river. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, with its tall central prang, is a riverside ruin, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, a former royal temple, lies close to the old palace grounds. The Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is 4.4 km away, for a different kind of day out.

Ayutthaya Train Station is 3.3 km away, and trains from there are a practical link to Bangkok. A good day could begin at Wat Mahathat, continue to Wat Chaiwatthanaram and end at the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, which displays artefacts from the old capital. Restaurants and a bar are on site, and bicycle rental is offered for getting around the ruins.
