Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex with a night market, is 1.9 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn with its tall porcelain-covered spire, is 3.2 km away. Taksin Pier is a short walk, with ferries running along the Chao Phraya, and the BTS offers a rail link across the city, so the riverside stretch is easy to combine with the rest of Bangkok.

A day out could start with a ferry from Taksin Pier and continue to The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, 3.7 km from the hotel. In the afternoon, the Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is a short trip away, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip, with thousands of stalls.
