Grand The Room Hotel

The rooms at Grand The Room Hotel include a 40 m² Signature room with a king bed and a nature view, and two 32 m² rooms with a city view: a Deluxe with a king bed and a Twin - Factory Modern with two single beds.

Rooms for up to three guests are also available, including a deluxe room and a twin room, both with a city view, and a room assigned on arrival. The Signature room and the two 32 m² rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and free bottled water, and their bathrooms have a shower and a hair dryer. The Signature room also has a bathtub and a seating area with a sofa.

Grand The Room Hotel has a 24-hour front desk and 24-hour security, and an elevator for moving between floors. The front desk is open around the clock, and daily housekeeping is provided. Kamphaeng Phet is an inland town in central Thailand, and its appeal is history rather than the beach. The old town grew up inside a fortified wall, and many of its temples and chedi are now ruins, so most visitors come to see the historical sites. Grand The Room Hotel stands in the town itself, in an urban setting rather than a resort landscape, and the sights are a short distance away.

Wat Kalothai is 1.4 km from the hotel, a temple in the town that is one of the nearest sights. The Northeast Corner of City Wall Fort, 1.6 km away, is a surviving stretch of the old city defences, and the Night Market, 1.7 km from the hotel, is an evening market in the town. The Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, 3.4 km away, is where many of the ruins are, and the Kamphaeng Phet National Museum, 2.5 km away, shows the history of the province. Most of these sights lie within a few kilometres of one another, and the hotel has free parking nearby for guests who drive.

A good first day is a walk or a ride around the ruins of the Historical Park, followed by Wat Kalothai and the corner of the city wall, and an evening at the Night Market. The National Museum fits well between the temples, giving some background on the province before you visit the ruins.
