Every room at Grand Mercure Bangkok Asoke Residence is a suite, and the suites shown here measure between 71 and 96 m². The Skytrain and subway are close: Asok BTS station is 500 m away and Sukhumvit MRT station 400 m, which connects the hotel to the central shopping areas by train. Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall, is 2.8 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum built by the American silk pioneer, is 3.6 km away. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, is 6.6 km away.

A day could combine the Jim Thompson House with shopping at Siam Paragon, followed by an evening by the river. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall, porcelain-decorated spire, make a good pair for a day of temples. Wat Arun stands on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya from the palace.
