Suan Lum Night Bazaar is nearby for an evening meal, and Khaosan Road, the backpacker street in the old city, is a longer trip across town. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, both in the old city, are 10.4 km and 11 km away, with Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya riverside.

Sutthisan MRT station is 500 m away on the Blue Line, which links the area with Sukhumvit and Silom. Don Mueang International Airport is 14 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is further out. A good day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is open at weekends, and continue to the temples of the old city in the afternoon, when the light is good for photographs.
