Goodday Kathu

Goodday Kathu offers rooms for one to five guests, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Daily housekeeping is part of the hotel's service, and the rooms can have air conditioning, linens, a private bathroom and a balcony or terrace.

Kathu is an inland district of Phuket, set back from the west coast and its beaches. Its hills, its waterfall and the Phuket Mining Museum, which recalls the island's tin-mining past, give the area a character quite apart from the seafront.

Among the attractions nearby are Tiger Kingdom Phuket and the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, both close to the hotel. Jungceylon Shopping Center is 4.3 km away, Patong Beach 3.9 km and the Big Buddha 9.7 km, so a day out can start in the hills and end on the sand.

A full day could combine the beaches of Patong, Karon and Kata with a visit to Wat Chalong, a well-known Buddhist temple, and the Big Buddha on the hill above Chalong. Phuket International Airport is 22.2 km from the hotel, and Phuket Bus Terminal 2 is also in the area for travellers arriving by coach. For a slower day, the Kathu Waterfall and the Phuket Mining Museum make a pair of stops in the inland hills, and both can be combined with a return to the hotel's garden in the afternoon. The inland setting means a quieter evening than on the beaches of the west coast, while the beaches are still reachable by road.
