Golden Pearl Beach Resort

The rooms at Golden Pearl Beach Resort are bungalows with sea, beach, nature and courtyard views. Air conditioning is in most of the bungalows, and several have a balcony or terrace, with a sofa in some of them. The family bungalows and a bungalow for up to four guests cater for bigger groups, and the bungalows give guests a choice between a sea view, a garden-side nature view and a room over the courtyard.

Bedding includes double, king and single beds, and the bungalows often come with a mirror, toiletries and a mosquito net. Some bungalows have a fan, a kettle or blackout curtains, and rooms can also have free bottled water, so the bungalows differ in what they offer.

Golden Pearl Beach Resort has its own private beach, where guests can go boating, canoeing, diving, fishing and snorkelling. Tours and car hire are offered, along with a shuttle service and a taxi service.

The spa has a sauna and a massage service, with a solarium, and the grounds include a garden. A concierge is on hand to help guests, and express check-in and check-out are both available for arrivals and departures.

Koh Jum and Koh Pu are two islands in Krabi province, on the Andaman coast, where villages sit among the trees and beaches run along the shore. Golden Pearl Beach Resort is in the Nuea Khlong District of the island, a setting for a beach holiday away from town life, with its own private beach. The island has hills, and the Khao Ko Pu peak rises on Koh Pu, a separate island, so a visit to the peak means a crossing by boat.

Ao Si Beach is 850 m from the resort, and Ao Thidiaw Beach is 1.7 km away on the island. A Buddhist temple stands 3.1 km from the resort, and the Koh Jum pier, the island's ferry terminal, is 2.7 km away. Boats from the mainland arrive at the pier, which is the island's link for travellers arriving by sea, and both the temple and the pier are close to the resort for a day out.

A day here can start at Ao Si Beach, then continue to the Khao Ko Pu peak, 3.9 km away on Koh Pu. The resort offers boating, canoeing, diving and snorkelling from its own beach, and tours are also available. Because Koh Jum has no airport, the boat is the last step for many journeys, and the resort offers an airport transfer.
