Golden Monkey Samui

The rooms at Golden Monkey Samui can have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toiletries, towels and an electric kettle. Beds are a queen bed for two guests, or a single bed with a king bed for up to three guests, and some rooms have a city view.

Extra beds depend on the room, and a baby cot or crib may be requested directly from the property, subject to availability. Children aged 2 stay free when they use the existing bedding, while an extra bed carries an additional charge.

The area stays busy after dark, with plenty of places to eat and drink late.

The nearest beach is Chaweng Yai Beach, 1000 m away, and Wat Chaweng, a Buddhist temple, is also in the area. The night market, an evening market with food and shopping stalls, is a short distance off too. Samui Airport is 3 km away, the nearest airport to the hotel, and the trip from it is a short one by road.

A good first day could start with a swim at Chaweng Yai Beach, a visit to Wat Chaweng and an evening at the night market for food and shopping. For a longer outing, Big Buddha, a hilltop Buddha statue and temple complex 5.4 km away, is one of the island's best-known sights and makes a good half-day trip. Back at the hotel, the bar and the nightclub on site provide the evening's entertainment, and a massage service suits a slower afternoon.
