The Peranakan Museum and Thalang Road, one of the Old Town's historic streets, are also close by. Wat Chalong, one of the island's most revered temples, is 7.6 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 26.9 km away. The local bus station is a short walk from the property, and the Old Town's streets are best explored on foot.

A good day here starts with the Philatelic Museum and the Peranakan Museum, followed by a walk through the Old Town's shophouse streets. The Sunday night market runs on Sundays, so plan the evening for that day, when the food stalls around it bring the quarter to life. Patong Beach is the place for beach time and water sports, and Wat Chalong is a good morning outing.
