The streets nearby mix shops, food stalls and bars, which suits guests who want to be close to the city's nightlife and its transport links. Lumphini Park, one of the city's largest green spaces, is also in the wider area.

Two stations are close by: the Sam Yan MRT station is 350 m away and the Sala Daeng BTS station is 500 m away, so the underground and the skytrain are both easy to reach. Patpong Night Market is close by, and Wat Hua Lamphong, a Buddhist temple, is in the same area. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, is 2.2 km away and is now a museum.

A day could combine the Jim Thompson House with a visit to Siam, where Siam Paragon and MBK Center are reached by BTS. For a weekend outing, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 8.1 km away and is one of the city's best-known markets. In the evening, Patpong Night Market and the bars around Silom are close by. The Grand Palace and the temples of Rattanakosin are a longer trip and are best planned as a separate day out.
