Ari BTS Station is a short walk from the house, and Saphan Khwai BTS Station is also nearby, so the rest of the city is easy to reach by Skytrain. Chatuchak Weekend Market is 1.7 km away, and Wat Phai Tan, a Buddhist temple with a pagoda, is 1.3 km away. The Grand Palace is 7 km away, and a day of sightseeing across the city is practical with the Skytrain combined with a taxi for the last stretch.

A day out could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known markets, and continue with the Philatelic Museum, 1.1 km from the house, which holds a collection of stamps and postal history. Or Tor Kor Market, a fresh produce market, is also a good stop for food shopping, and the market's produce stalls are a useful stop before heading back to the house.
