Closer to home, the Wat Ruak Bang Bamru pagoda and the Indy Market Pinklao are the local landmarks, and the Bang Yi Khan MRT station, 650 m away, connects the area to the metro. A good day could start at Wat Arun and continue across the river to the Grand Palace, while the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest weekend markets, is further away and better saved for a separate day.
