Oriental Pier, 1.3 km away, is the stop for riverboats up the Chao Phraya. Siam Paragon, the shopping centre at Siam, is reached on the same Skytrain line from Chong Nonsi and Saint Louis.

A good day starts on the river: take a boat from Oriental Pier towards the old city, visit Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, and return to Silom for an evening at the Patpong night market. Asiatique, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is also an easy trip by boat or taxi from the hotel.
