All the rooms at Friends of Koh Samui 1 overlook a courtyard and have air conditioning, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV with streaming services such as Netflix. They measure between 20 and 30 m² and sleep up to two guests each, with a fan, an electric kettle and a coffee and tea maker in every room.

The sandy shore of Lamai Beach is about 750 m from Friends of Koh Samui 1, and the area around it has a lively, everyday character, with markets, temples and a Muay Thai camp close by. Visitors come to the area for its beach, its temples and its evening market, and most of these sights are within a few kilometres of one another.

Wat Lamai, a Buddhist temple 700 m away, and the Lamai Night Market, 750 m away, are the nearest sights to the guesthouse. Both are within a short distance of the guesthouse. Further off, Hin Ta and Hin Yai, the rock formations known as Grandma and Grandpa Rocks, lie 2.8 km away, and Samui Airport (USM) is 8.2 km away. Reaching the farther sights means travelling by road across the island.

A good day could start on Lamai Beach, continue to the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks, and finish at the Lamai Night Market in the evening. Back at the guesthouse, the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the games room give you a place to relax after a day out.
