A day out could take in the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, two of the city's best-known temples close to the Chao Phraya river, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6 km from the hotel. Wat Arun sits on the Thonburi bank of the river, while the Grand Palace stands in the old city. Khao San Road, the backpacker street near the old city, is also well known.
