The area mixes quieter residential lanes with a busier beach road lined with shops, cafés and street-food stalls, which stay busy in the evening. The mix works for a group that wants both sand and evening life.

Noppharat Thara Beach is 1.4 km away, a sandy stretch of coast, and Ao Nang Beach, the main beach of the resort area, is 2.3 km away. The Ao-Nang Landmark Night Market, 1.3 km away, has food stalls and shops open in the evening. From the piers at Ao Nang, longtail boats reach Railay, a limestone peninsula that is mainly reached by water, and Poda Island, which lies 8.9 km away and has beaches and snorkelling. The Krabi Elephant Shelter is 2 km away, and the hillside temple of Wat Tham Suea lies further out near Krabi Town.

In the rainy months, sea conditions can make boat trips less certain, so island days are best planned around the weather. A day here can combine a longtail-boat trip to Railay with an evening on the Ao Nang beach road, and Krabi International Airport is reached by road.
